World’s Most Mountain Ride

Mountain Bus Ride

After some days in Cali, it was time to head to the fashion capital of South America being Medellin, Colombia. I decided to take a regional bus to make the trip.

This bus ride overall took about 13 hours to complete. Originally it was supposed to take only 9 hours. The ride consisted of at least two dozen stops picking up people here and there as well as dropping them off. At one point on the journey, we were going only about 20 miles per hour since the road we was on was unpaved and only big enough for one vehicle to pass at a time. During that point, the bus ride was very rocky and bumpy due to the terrain and they must have some good shocks on the bus’s wheels.

One of the bright points was that we had a lunch break 6 hours after the journey started and I was able to see several waterfalls during this mountain ride. This ride is definitely not for one who have previously experienced motion sickness due to the many winding roads around the mountains.
