My past two museums that I visited have been sad. The 1st was the Hoa Lo Prison Museum Memorial located in Hanoi which is the same prison that the late Senator John McCain was held during his time enlisted in the military after being captured in the Vietnam War. This particular war museum is about the different types of inmates that were held here including captured U.S. soldiers during Vietnam war times.
The 2nd museum was the War Remnants museum located in Ho Ch Minh (Saigon). This museum truly shows how the U.S. was in the wrong for being in this war including the overall mass casualties that were done for no reason. This is not any easy museum to consume due to its nature but is very much a downpoint in U.S. history.
Well both of these museums offer something slightly different in nature and are places to consider in when visiting Vietnam.
