Things About Bucaramanga

Estadio Alfonso Lopez stadium in Bucaramanga

There were many things about Bucaramanga that attracted me to this city. One being it is a smaller version of Medellin, Colombia. Another included was that it was just a few hours away from extreme sports town of San Gil.

With the knowledge of these things, I decided on my 4th trip to Colombia. During my time there, the people were very helpful whether it be using the metro bus without a card (I had a local offer me his card so I could ride the bus) or me ordering off the menu. The people can really make or break your experience for a city and it really made mine. Other than that Bucaramanga is a nice untouched city, yet to be touched by expats from my observations around the city. And many of the main areas of the city can be navigable by foot or metro bus.

Many of the top things to do include a trip to San Gil (which I partook in) Chicamocha Canyon, and paragliding from the beautiful mountains surrounding this Colombian city. This city is definitely worth a visit if it is your 3rd trip or more to this beautiful country.
