The Most Expensive

The Most Expensive. Picture of coffee and tea.

Tuesday began with me in search of doing 2 things that were must-do’s when I planned this trip to Bali.

  1. River rafting
  2. Get reasonably close to a volcano

On the first part of my tour, I was able to go whitewater rafting on the Ayung River. This was not your whiff of the mill 15 minute thrill, but it was 2 hours worth of rafting which I spotted several iguanas while going down the river. It was the 1st time in my life doing such a thing and was very exillerating.

Once that was done, I went to the restaurant where I got a great view of Mt. Batur Lake and Mt Agung. The view was from miles away, not up close in person, but was the next best thing to treking it.

There were a few other stops on my tour but the best and most surprising was the coffee/tea/cocoa taste samples. You get to sample 13 of these and can sample a 14th which is the Luwah Coffee for a nominal fee. If you have never heard of it, to briefly explain in English terms, it is the most expensive coffee in the world as it involves an animal to help process it. You can Google the specific process steps in your spare time.

Again, there were several parts of today’s tour but these were my two highlights I thought were worth mentioning.
