As I arrived in Manila for the first time there were several things I noticed during my first impressions of Manila. Obviously at this time they still have the mask mandate being enforced. With that being said I see many Filipinos walk around with an umbrella due to the scorching UV rays and rainy afternoons that ensue here practically everyday.
Bringing me to my next point is that I see many stray cats throughout the city. I was actually eating the other day at a restaurant not too far from BGC when a cat stepped on my shoe in which it kept giving my food hard looks as if it wanted to jump on it and start eating.
One last impression I saw was that the basketball coliseums are in areas located right beside major retail shopping malls. I suppose this is a good way to bring in fans after a day of shopping so they can relax by enjoying an afternoon/evening game.
