Bali’s End

Bali's End. Sunset view of Bali.

As I say farewell to Bali I will share my likes and dislikes from staying in the Kuta and Seminyak areas of Bali:

Likes

  • Many food options
  • A variety of things to do and see around the island including multiple beaches and forests
  • $6 Massages
  • Movie tickets under $5 USD
  • Super nightclub Sky Garden has nice daily buffet dinner (Includes drinks)
  • Great selection of hotels, resorts, hostels, and guesthouses to choose from all around the island
  • Toilets that rinse your “well you know what I mean”
  • Things that shut or close seemlessly (toilet seat and bacj slowly comes down without slamming like in the USA, undercounter cooler drawers closes without slamming shut)

Dislikes

  • Traffic (Why does it take almost 2 hours to go 5 miles)
  • Motorbikes riding along the sidewalk
  • Vulture like retail street owners and massage ladies in Kuta
  • Taxi drivers constantly bonking their horn asking if I “Need Transport”
  • The amount of trash on both Kuta and Seminyak beaches
