My Purpose

Thank you for visiting my budget travel blog. I started my travel blog several years later after I took my first international trip in 2010 to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.

The purpose and intent of my content is to inform, educate, and to inspire others to travel and show what is possible in the world with the proper preparation and explain the tools needed for budget and solo travel.

What Excites Me And Challenges Me In My Travels?

The Four Excitements In Travel:

  • People

  • Music and Arts

  • Geography

  • Nature and Wildlife

The Four Challenges In Travel:

  • Budget

  • Time

  • Languages

  • Logistics

My Latest Journey

My recent journey was to Colombia where I was able to meet many locals, digital nomads and several of the top YouTube travel vloggers (many of which who moved or live in Colombia on a permanent basis).

This trip was more than a trip but gave me a taste of the digital nomad life as I worked remotely for nearly two months at the end of 2020. During this time I lived in local areas within the cities of Cali and Medellin. This time did include periods of weekend lockdowns, Medellin neighborhood explorations, and Colombian bus travels in which I was able to see how Colombians managed and thrived during these times.
